While the transfer fee is $0 once per month on eligible plans, exchange rates, applicable taxes and surcharges may still apply, depending on the transaction.

Is the Total Wireless and Western Union benefit online or in stores?

Customers will be able to benefit from this partnership at agent locations with Total Wireless service, or through Western Union’s app and website.

What if I am not a Total Wireless customer?

Become one! You can purchase a plan, device or SIM kit directly through the Total Wireless website, via their app, or by visiting a retail store.

Which Total Wireless plans qualify for this benefit?

This benefit is currently available on the following Total Wireless plans:

Do my unused transfers roll over to the next month?

No. This is a “use it or lose it” benefit. If you do not utilize your fee-free transfer within your monthly billing cycle, it will expire and will not carry over to the next month.

What happens to my benefit if my phone service is suspended?

If your account is suspended for non-payment or other reasons, you will lose access to the fee-free transfer benefit. However, the benefit will be instantly restored once your service is reactivated on an eligible plan.

What happens if I change my phone plan?

Upgrading: If you switch to an eligible plan (e.g., upgrading from Total STARTER to Total MAX 5G), you will receive your free transfer as soon as the plan change goes into effect.

Downgrading or switching: If you change your plan to an ineligible plan, you will retain your free transfer benefit until the end of your current service date.”

What happens if I change my phone number?

Western Union uses your mobile phone number to verify your benefit eligibility. If you change your phone number, it is your responsibility to update your new number within your Western Union profile so that you can continue receiving your benefit.

How does the benefit work if I am on a multi-month plan?

Customers on 3-month plans are entitled to three transfers total, but they are limited to one transfer per monthly period. You cannot use all three transfers in a single month.

Can I send more than one fee-free transfer if I have multiple lines?

The benefit is tied to the eligible line. If you have multiple lines on eligible plans, each individual line is entitled to its own monthly benefit, provided each has a corresponding Western Union account.

Exchange rates apply plus any applicable taxes and surcharges.
