The maximum amount when sending money to Mexico and receiving in cash is $7,499 and $2,750 for receiving in a bank account– or the equivalent in Mexican pesos – by person, transaction or day. The maximum sum that can be paid in cash may vary and depends on the Western Union agent location. Contact a location to check the amount of money you can send to Mexico.
To start sending money to Mexico online:
You’ll need a U.S. driver’s license, passport or government-issued ID to register with us online. To send money to Mexico, you’ll also require the recipient’s bank account number or CLABE, plus their address, city, state and phone number.
Sending mobile reloads is an alternative way to transfer money to Mexico with its own process. You can reload up to $15 on Telcel, Movistar and AT&T prepaid mobile phones online, with our app or at a Western Union location.
