Home Delivery


 

What is Home Delivery?

The Home Delivery service is a way for you to receive cash without leaving home. As the government implements COVID-19 restrictions to ensure the safety of all residents, Efecty will work together with Giros y Finanzas to deliver money  directly to receivers houses. The Efecty Home Delivery service will be available from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. This service is available for Giros y Finanza´s customers only, and it covers the following cities and locations:

  • Cali: Only for some neighborhoods between Circunvalar Av (Siloé) and Valle del Lili (Calle 54). Also for neighborhoods between Carrera 100 to Carrera 39 (Luna).
  • Barranquilla: Only for neighborhoods between Calle 53 to Calle 84 and between Carreras 21 to Vía 40.
  • Bogotá: Only for Chapinero, Barrios Unidos, Teusaquillo, Usaquen, Fontibon, Suba, Kenneddy and Puente Aranda.
  • Medellín: Only for Manrique, Aranjuez, Villa Hermosa, Buenos Aires, La Candelaria, El Poblado
  • Cartagena:Only for Barrio Castillogrande, El Laguito, Bocagrande, Centro, Getsemani, El Cabrero, Sandiego and Crespo 
  • Pereira: Only for some neighborhoods.

How does Home Delivery work?

Here is how Home Delivery works:

  1. You need to notify your receiver that the money transfer has been sent.
  2. Your receiver needs to contact Giros y Finanzas to schedule the delivery.
  3. A Giros y Finanzas representative will verify the information needed to process the Home Delivery service. Once the details are verified, an Efecty representative will arrive at your receiver’s house with the money

Note that, before handing over the money, the representative will verify your receiver’s original government-issued ID. After a successful verification, they will need to sign the transfer receipt before getting the money.

 

Does my sender need to do anything for Home Delivery to work?

No. Your sender only needs to transfer the money to you and provide you with the transfer details.

 

Are there extra fees for the Home Delivery service?

Western Union will not charge for any Home Delivery service fee. Giros y Finanzas will charge a service fee for Home Delivery. They will explain the fee for this type of service to the receiver if applicable.

 

How long will it take for my money to arrive at my home?

While the time may vary, most transfers should arrive between 24 and 48 hours at your home.
