How do I register online on wu.com in Colombia?

Registration is required for most of our services. After you open wu.com. you will be re-directed to Giros y Finanzas home page, where new customers will be asked to go to a retail location and provide the information below to complete the registration process and to do their first transfer.

Giros y Finanzas registered customers, will go thru an identification process where they will be asked for their ID type and number along with their password to access Giros y Finanzas web tool.

No, it’s free to register.

 

Who can register and send money online?

Anyone who meets the following conditions, can use our online services.

  • You’ll need to present a valid ID: Government-issued ID, residence ID
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must accept the terms and conditions for using Western Union and Giros y Finanzas services.
  • Must have bank account created in Colombia.
  • Must have a valid phone number.
  • Must have a valid e-mail address

 

How many times can I register?

Registration with a valid ID and phone number is possible only once.

 

How can I change or update my wu.com profile?

If your profile hasn’t been verified, you can change or update your Giros y Finanzas profile for WU Send Money.

After your profile has been verified you cannot change your name, last name, date of birth and nationality. If you require to change this information after your identity is verified, please contact the Giros y Finanzas customer care center

What do I do if I forgot my User ID / login password/ or repeatedly entered incorrect details?

Your User ID is your ID number.

If you forgot your password, you can select the “Forgot password” option at the Western Union, Giros y Finanzas login page and a new password will be sent to your registered phone number or email address. Otherwise you can visit any of the Giros y Finanzas locations to create your new ID or Password

 

What do I do if I want to change my login details password, email address?

You can change your phone number only at nearest Giros y Finanzas agent location.

As a registered customer, you can use the “forgot password” feature at the login and registration screen at Giros y Finanzas web site and follow the security prompts to validate your information.

 

What do I do if my ID has expired?

You will be required to reverify your identity by visiting a verification location for a new ID verification. Once you ID is verified, you will be able to send money online right away.
