How to send money through Apple Pay step by step

Start a transfer

Register for an account and begin a money transfer online or in the Western Union app. You can also find a Western Union location near you to start your transfer in person. If you’re sending money with Apple Pay, make sure you’ve added a debit or credit card to your Apple Wallet before you begin.

Choose your recipient and amount

Enter your recipient’s details, including their name and destination country. Decide how much to send and how your recipient will receive the funds — whether to a bank account, mobile wallet, or cash pickup.  Calculate money transfer costs ahead of time to understand the fees and exchange rates that apply to your transfer.

Select Apple Pay as your payment method

When prompted, choose Apple Pay from the list of available payment options. Your Apple Pay interface will appear, and you can authenticate the transaction using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

Finalize and track your transfer

If everything looks right, confirm your transfer and the money will be on its way. You’ll receive a confirmation with your MTCN. Use it to track the transfer at any time.
