How to send money in person

Sending money in person with Western Union is easy. Choose the service that's best for you and follow the simple steps below to find out how.

 

Money in Minutes service

  1. Search for an agent location near you.
  2. Complete the Send Money section of the form and choose Cash Pickup and Money in Minutes.1
  3. Give the Agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash. Some Agents accept credit card and debit cards as a method of payment.
  4. Save your receipt and share the tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver for pickup.

Send money to a bank account

  1. Search for an agent location near you.
  2. Complete the Send Money section of the form, including your receiver's bank and account information. Check what specific information is needed.
  3. Give the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.
  4. Save your receipt with the tracking number (MTCN).
  5. Your money will be deposited into your receiver's bank account within 3 bank working days, depending on the destination country. Check out destination-specific timing.2

To a mobile phone

  1. Check available destination countries and mobile networks.
  2. Search for a participating agent location near you.
  3. Complete the Send Money section of the form and choose Mobile Wallet Deposit. Include your receiver's mobile phone number.3
  4. Give the agent your completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee).
  5. Save your receipt with the tracking number (MTCN).
