Yes, and its available for iOS and Android mobile devices in Australia.

What services can I access with the Australian mobile app?

Use our mobile app to:

  • Send money: Existing customers can send money using their online login details. New customers can register directly on the app or online.
  • Estimate prices: Get up-to-date exchange rates and compare fees for Western Union services.
  • Track a transfer: Get the current status of your transfer.
  • Find an agent: Get maps and directions to thousands of participating agent locations.
Does it cost anything to use the Australian mobile app?

It is free to download the app or to access the app from your mobile phone. However, normal mobile phone data access and calling charges will apply. Please contact your mobile phone network provider for details.

Please note that Western Union money transfer fees will apply if you send money using the mobile app.

How do I get the mobile app in Australia?

You can download the app from the App Store and from Google Play for iOS and Android devices.

Can I send money using the mobile app?

Yes. Existing online customers can use their login details to send money with the app.

New customers can register directly on the app for free. This will include an identification verification before you can send money using the app.

What do I need to do to be able to send money using the mobile app?

If you are existing online customer, you can use your existing login details to access your profile on the mobile app.

New customers can register on the app in just a few minutes. You will need to verify your email address for security and you will need at least one of the following types of Australian government-issued identification:

  • Driver License
  • Passport

How do I get a log in code to access my profile in the mobile app?

Simply use your existing online log in information. New customers can register directly on the app or register for free online.

Can I pay in cash even if I use the app to send money?

Yes, if your receiver is picking up the money at an agent location. You can do this using our mobile app.


When you begin a money transfer on the mobile app, you will be provided the option to pay in cash at an agent location.


Western Union also makes money from currency exchange. When choosing a money transmitter, carefully compare both transfer fees and exchange rates. Fees, foreign exchange rates, and taxes may vary by brand, channel, and location based on a number of factors. Fees and rates are subject to change without notice.

How can I pay for my money transfer? or mobile app

Use a credit* or debit card. You may also initiate your transfer using the mobile app and pay cash at participating WU agent locations.

In person.

Visit a Western Union agent location to send money using cash or, in some cases, a debit card.

*Card issuer cash advance fee and associated interest charges may apply. Use a debit card to avoid these fees and charges.
