    When sending money to a bank account, you can send up to 50,000 GBP to Singapore from the UK via bank transfer or up to 4,000 GBP when using a credit1/debit card or Sofort. For cash pickup, you can send up to 5,000 GBP in-store or up to 4,000 GBP online. Don’t forget to consider the local exchange rates and money transfer fees2 before sending money to Singapore to ensure you have enough funds to cover the transfer.

    To send money to Singapore online:

    1. Register for a free Western Union profile, or log in with your existing details.
    2. Select ‘Send money’ and choose Singapore as your destination country.

    To send money to Singapore online, make sure you have the following at hand:

    1. Both yours and your receiver’s bank account details – if sending to a bank account.
    2. Both yours and your receiver’s full name and address.
    3. The transaction purpose and your source of funds.
    4. The total amount of money you wish to transfer.

    To send money to Singapore from a Western Union agent location:

    1. Locate your nearest Western Union agent location.
    2. Begin your money transfer online or via the app and finalise the payment in store. Or head straight to your chosen agent location to complete the money transfer in person.
    3. Make sure you bring along a valid government-issued ID or phone number, and your receiver’s details. You may also be asked to supply a proof of funds, so it’s a good idea to take a bank statement, tax return or payslip along with you.
    4. Pay for your money transfer.
    5. Keep hold of your receipt and share the unique tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver to track its progress.

    If you do choose to start your money transfer online before paying in-store, then make sure you still bring some ID to complete the money transfer and do so within 24 hours.
