    Sending money to India from the UK in person is easy at a Western Union location. Here’s how:

    1. Find your nearest Western Union location.
    2. Give a valid government-issued ID or phone number in at the counter, plus the bank and account details of your recipient. Before transferring money to India, you may need to provide proof regarding your source of funds. To help with this, please ensure you also take a bank statement, tax return or payslip along with you.
    3. Pay for your money transfer to India using a debit or credit card2, or cash.
    4. Keep track of your transfer using the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) on your receipt.
