To send money to India, you’ll need your receiver’s account number, or Unified Payments Interface ID (UPI ID) and details of the purpose of the transaction.
You can send up to £799.99 from the UK and its territories to India without any additional ID verification. If you’d like to transfer more money to India, we’ll need to confirm your identity online. Once we’ve verified your ID, you’ll be able to send up to £50,000 to friends and family using bank transfer to bank account pay-outs. Bank transfer is available to UK residents only. Additional limits may apply.
