    What do I need to send money online to Ireland from the UK?

    Once you’re registered with Western Union, you will need your receiver’s bank details to send money online to Ireland from the UK. You will need:

    • Your name, address, banking details and account number
    • The purpose of your money transfer
    • The receiver’s full name as it appears on their bank account, IBAN number or SWIFT/BIC number.

    If arranging a cash pick-up online, enter the destination and amount you wish to send and select ‘Cash pick-up’. You will only need your receiver’s name and address. Pay with credit1/debit card and receive your MTCN number.

    If you’d like to send more than 799.99 GBP within a five-day period, we will need to confirm your identity first. Once we have confirmed your identity, you can send up to 4,000 GBP within a three-day period.

    For bank transfer to bank account deposits, you can send up to 50,000 GBP per transfer to Ireland. Bank transfers are available for UK residents only.
