    How do I transfer money online to Germany?

    To transfer money to Germany online:

    1. Register for a free profile – or log in if you’ve previously created one. Then select ‘Send now’ to get started.
    2. Choose Germany as the destination country and enter how much you want to send. Then select the way your receiver wants to receive their money – cash pickup or bank account.
    3. Select the way you would like to pay, by clicking either credit1/debit card, online bank transfer using bank transfer.
    4. Click on a previous receiver’s details or add the relevant personal information for your new receiver. If you’re sending money to their bank account, then you’ll also need their IBAN. Finally, you will also be required to state the purpose of the transfer and the source of funds.
    5. Pay for your money transfer to Germany by debit or credit1.
    6. Look out for an email containing your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Use this and share with your receiver to track your money on its way to Germany.
    How much money can I send to Germany?

    You can send up to 50,000 GBP to Germany with Western Union as a bank transfer to their bank account, or up to 4,000 GBP using a bank card. For cash pickup, you can send up to 4,000 GBP online.     4. Arrange the money transfer and pay for it with cash or your credit1/debit card.
    5. Keep the receipt and use and share the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) with your receiver to track your transfer.

    You can also start a transfer on the app or online, before paying using cash in-store within 24 hours. Simply set up a transfer online and pay at a Western Union agent location within the given timeframe at your convenience. Make sure you bring your photo ID.
