If you and your receiver are not both Chinese nationals, as the sender you will need to provide a detailed purpose of transfer. This also applies when you send money to yourself, or to Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan.

This includes your sender’s name, the amount sent and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
3. Show proof of identity.

1. Bank of China. Foreign currency bank account is required for USD and EUR payout if accumulated payout amount is over USD 1,000 or equivalent per person/per day.
2. Postal Savings Bank of China and China Construction Bank. For USD/EUR payout.
3. China Minsheng Bank, Bank of Jilin and Fujian Haixia Bank. For USD payout.
4. Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Shanghai branches.
