    What information do I need about my receiver when I send money to their bank account?

    Whether you’re sending money via credit card to a bank account or using cash at a Western Union agent location, you’ll need to have your receiver’s name and country, bank name, bank code (BIC), and account number (IBAN).

    How long will it take my money to get there?

    It usually takes 1-3 working days2. To some countries and partners, your money will be delivered even on the same day. The length of time for delivery varies based on where and when the money is sent. The expected time of delivery is displayed on our app and on westernunion.com when you enter the delivery details.

    Will the method I use to send money affect how long my transfer will take?

    The simple answer is no, it won’t. Choose our app or visit wu.com to send money online to a bank account with Western Union, either option will take the same amount of time to arrive at your receiver. The same applies if you are sending money in person by visiting an agent location.
