Register for or log in to your free Western Union profile and complete the online transfer.
The transfer amount will arrive in the MTN Mobile Money account within minutes for all payment methods except bank transfer. Because this is not a bank account, you don’t even need a BIC/SWIFT code. If you would like to use a different receiving method, you can also arrange the transfer at a Western Union location near you.
MTN Mobile Money is an MTN Group payment system available in over 50 African countries. The accounts operate via the users’ mobile phones. With MTN Mobile Money’s financial services, they can deposit and withdraw cash or pay invoices and make purchases – all without a bank account.
Your receiver will receive the amount of your transfer directly to their MTN Mobile Money account. Once the transfer is confirmed, it can also be tracked in the MTN Mobile Money app using the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
