    You can send up to EUR €50,000 to India from Germany using UPI bank transfers with Western Union. You’ll need to make sure the name on your bank account matches the name on your profile, to avoid your payment being rejected.

    Credit2 and debit cards can be used to pay for money transfers of up to EUR €4,000, while Sofort transfers have a maximum limit of EUR €5,000.

    If your receiver would like to collect their funds in cash at a nearby agent location, there is a money transfer limit of EUR €2,500. We will need to verify your identity for any money transfers over EUR €1,000.

    How do I send money to India from a Western Union agent location?

    Western Union has agent locations across Germany, where you can pay for your money transfer to India. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect when sending money in person:

    1. Find an agent location near you.
    2. Head to the counter with your receiver’s details at the ready.
    3. You may also be asked for some personal identification. This could be a phone number, My WU number or government-issued ID.
