How to send money from Belgium?

Choose how you would like to transfer your money and follow the simple steps below.

Wire money on the go with the Western UnionSM app. You can also start your transfer on our app and then pay in cash at one of our selected2 agent locations. You can send up to 1.000 EUR before we ask you to verify your identity.

Need to wire money quickly? Have your money ready for cash pick-up in minutes at one of our hundreds of thousands of agent locations around the world.

Want to pay in cash?

  1. Open our app and log in with Touch ID. Are you a new customer? Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store and register.
  2. Tap ‘Send money’. Enter the destination country and the transfer amount, then choose pick-up in ‘Cash’ and payment in ‘Cash’.
  3. Select a previous receiver or enter a new receiver’s name and address.
  4. Complete your transfer by paying in cash at a participating agent location within 12 hours. Find a nearby location here.
  5. Save the receipt and share the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) with your receiver for fast cash pick-up. Do not share it with anyone else.

Want to pay by bank transfer or credit card?

  1. Open our app and log in with Touch ID. Are you a new customer? Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store and register.
  2. Tap ‘Send money’. Enter the destination country and the transfer amount, then choose pick-up in ‘Cash’ and payment by ‘Bank transfer‘ or ‘Credit/Debit card’.
  3. Enter your receiver’s name.
  4. Pay with your card4 (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa Electron, Mister Cash), or with bank transfer (Klarna banking).
  5. We will send a confirmation email with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). ONLY share this number with your receiver for cash pick-up.

  1. Check if you have all of your receiver’s bank details.
  2. Open our app and log in with Touch ID. Are you a new customer? Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store and register.
  3. Choose country, amount and delivery method (bank account).
  4. Enter your receiver’s bank account information. Learn more about what’s required.
  5. Pay by credit/debit card4 or with your bank account.
  6. You’ll get a confirmation by email with the tracking number (MTCN). ONLY share this number with your receiver.
  7. The money will be deposited into your receiver’s qualifying bank account. Check out destination-specific timing.

If your receiver lives in a country where we offer this service, you can even send money to their mobile phone—so they can get their money quicker and easier than ever. Make sure your receiver has activated a mobile wallet with one of our partner mobile operators in their country.

  2. Open our app and log in with Touch ID. Are you a new customer? Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store and register.
  3. Start your transfer. Enter the destination country and the amount you’re sending, then choose delivery to a ‘Mobile wallet’.
  4. Enter your receiver’s name and mobile number.
  5. Pay with your credit or debit card4.
  6. You and your receiver will get a confirmation alert in the form of an SMS5 notification when the money’s delivered.

  5. Your money will be deposited into your receiver’s bank account within 1 to 3 bank working days, depending on the destination country. Check out destination-specific timing.
