    You can send money internationally by heading online, logging in to our app or visiting an agent location. Simply tell us the overseas destination where your receiver is based – there are more than 200 to choose from. We’ll let you know of any details we need that are specific to the destination.

    How do I send money to a bank account from Belgium?

    With Western Union, you can send money to a bank account online, with our app or in person. Here’s the process to follow online:

    1. Register for a profile or log in. Click ‘Send money’.
    2. Pick your destination, then type in an amount to transfer.
    3. Choose ‘Bank account’ as the collection option.
    4. Pick an available payment method.
    5. Type in any information requested about your loved one and their bank. This could include an account number, bank name or code, but it varies between destinations.
    6. Look out for a confirmation email containing a unique tracking number (MTCN).
    How do I send money online for cash pickup?

    Sending money for cash pickup is straightforward through westernunion.com:

    1. Create a Western Union profile and log in.
    2. Visit the ‘Send money’ page to enter your destination and transfer amount.
    3. Ensure ‘Cash pickup’ is selected as the receiving method. Then choose an available payment method.
    4. Provide the name and address of your receiver.
    5. Search your inbox for a tracking number (MTCN). This helps your receiver to collect their money in minutes1.
    How do I send money online to a mobile wallet1 ?

    Mobile wallet1 transfers aren’t available in every country. If your destination is eligible:

    1. Log in to your profile or register with us.
    2. Click ‘Send money’ and choose ‘Mobile wallet1’ as the collection method. You’ll need to give us the send amount too, plus a valid payment method.
    3. Tell us the name and phone number of your receiver.
    4. Look out for a confirmation text.
    How do I send money at a Western Union agent location?

    It only takes a few steps to send money from a Belgian agent location:

    1. Make a note of your nearest agent location.
    2. Share your receiver’s information and payment details.
    3. Pay for the money transfer, plus any transfer fees2.
    4. Check your receipt for a tracking number (MTCN).
    How do I send money with the Western Union® app?

    To transfer money from Belgium with our app, simply:

    1. Log in using your credentials or Touch ID. Or download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store if it’s your first time. Follow the steps to register and verify a profile.
    2. Enter a destination, transfer amount, collection method and payment method.
    3. Tap in any details requested about you and your receiver.
    4. Use the tracking number (MTCN) we provide to follow progress.
    Can I change how my receiver gets their money?

    Yes, we make it easy to switch from cash pickup to sending money directly to your receiver’s bank account. Follow the steps below to update the delivery method, whether you sent money online or from one of our agent locations. Currently, online updates are excluded for select countries.

    1. Call 0800 99 269 and speak to a money transfer specialist.
    2. Fill in your receiver’s information. You’ll need to provide their address and bank account details4.

    Confirm the money transfer. A receipt will appear showing if your delivery method has been updated.

    1 Funds may be delayed or services unavailable based on certain transaction conditions, including amount sent, destination country, currency availability, regulatory issues, identification requirements, Agent location hours, differences in time zones, or selection of delayed options. For money transfers made by cell phone, the funds will be paid to the receiver’s mobile wallet account provider so they can then be credited to the account linked to the receiver’s cell phone number.
