    How can I transfer money to M-PESA?

    You can choose from several different payment methods for the transfer to M-PESA. Online, the process is as follows:

    Start a money transfer.

    Enter the destination country and amount to send.

    Select “Mobile wallet” and “MPesa” as the method for receiving the money.

    Specify your desired payment method:

      • Online, you can choose from a bank transfer, online banking, INSTANT transfer, credit1 or debit card or Google Pay.
      • If the destination country has “Pay on site” as an option, you can also pay the transfer amount in cash at a Western Union location.

    M-PESA is a payment system for cashless payments via mobile phones – without a bank account.     How does the receiver receive the money when I send a money transfer to M-PESA?

    The transfer amount lands directly in the receiver’s mobile wallet.
