Send money to Switzerland

You can send up to €5,000 from France to Switzerland for cash pickup when paying by credit¹/debit card or bank transfer and up to €6,000 when paying by cash. When sending to a Swiss bank account and paying via bank transfer, you can send up to €50,000.

You can send money to loved ones in Switzerland via our app, your debit or credit card, or your bank account. You can also send cash at an agent location near you.

To send money to Switzerland online:

1. Register or login to your Western Union profile and click ‘Send Money’
2. Select Switzerland as your destination and enter the amount you’d like to send
3. Choose Cash or Bank Account as your receiver method
4. Pay for your money transfer using your preferred payment method
5. Wait for your confirmation email to arrive as this will contain your unique tracking number

To send money from France to Switzerland, you’ll need your receiver’s name, address, and email address. You will also need their bank name, account number, account type, and address if choosing to send straight to a bank account.

1. Find your nearest Western Union agent location.
2. Show a valid government-issued ID or phone number in at the counter, plus the details of your loved one. Before transferring money to Switzerland, you may need to provide proof of your source of funds. To help with this, please ensure you also take a bank statement, tax return, or payslip along with you.
3. Pay for your money transfer to Switzerland using cash, credit¹ or debit card.
4. Keep track of your money transfer using the tracking number (MTCN) on your receipt.
