Send money to Chile

Whether you choose cash pickup or send straight to a bank account, you can send up to EUR 6,000 to your friends and family in Chile with Western Union.

Follow these steps to send money to Chile online:

1. Register or log in to your free Western Union profile and click the ‘Send now’ button.
2. Choose Chile as your destination and enter the amount you’d like to send. You’ll find an estimate of delivery times and transfer fees⁴ on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Choose cash pickup or bank account as your receiving method.
4. Select credit³ card, debit card, cash, Klarna, or bank transfer as a payment method.
5. Add your receiver’s full name (as it appears on their ID), address, phone number and email address. If you choose this receiving method, you’ll also need their bank account information.
6. Enter your payment information.
7. Take note of your unique tracking number (MTCN) and share it with your receiver. They can then use it to follow their funds or collect their money from an agent location as soon as it’s ready.

First, you’ll need to register for a free Western Union profile.

To send money online, you’ll need:

• Your full name and address
• A French driving licence, passport, or other form of government-issued ID
• The full name and address of your receiver
• Your receiver’s bank details if you wish to send straight to a bank account

1. Visit an agent location with your ID and receiver’s details – there are more than 8,5002 around France.
2. At the counter, ask to make a money transfer to Chile. You can choose to pay with cash, credit³, or debit card. If you’ve already started a transfer on the Western Union^® app, you can complete the process here.
3. Take note of your unique tracking number (MTCN) and share it with your loved ones in Chile so that they can keep track of your money transfer.

If you’d rather send money straight to a bank account, it will take up to 4 business days if you pay by credit³/debit card and up to 6 business days if you pay via bank transfer.
