We also offer different ways to receive the money: your family and friends can skip the line and get the funds directly to their mobile wallets, get the money sent to their bank accounts, or collecting the funds at their nearby agent location, depending on what is available at the receiving country.

Simply follow these steps to make an international money transfer online:

1. Register for a free Western Union online profile or log in if you have one set up already. Get started by clicking ‘Send money’.
2. Select the country where your loved one is based and enter the send amount.
3. Choose your loved one’s preferred receiving method.
4. Pick a payment method. Your options can include credit²/debit card, bank transfer, cash, Apple Pay^® or Google Pay™.
5. Enter any details we request about you and your receiver, then pay.
6. Follow your money with the tracking number (MTCN) we provide.

The Western Union app is an easy way to send money internationally.

1. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Login or register a new profile.
3. Start your transfer by entering the destination country and how much you would like to send.
4. Choose to send your money abroad to a bank account, for cash pickup, or to the recipient’s mobile wallet² (depending on their location).
5. Enter the receiver’s details and choose your payment method.
6. We will then provide a tracking number (MTCN) for you and the recipient.

To make international money transfers at a Western Union location you will need to fill out a ‘Send Money’ form and pay our agent the amount you wish to send abroad, plus fees¹, in cash. The recipient will then fill out a ‘Receive Money’ form at their Western Union location and show the agent some ID. Your recipient will receive the cash from our agent.
