Do I need to register to send money online?

Registration is required for most of our services. After you register on wu.com and verify your identity at the nearest Al Fardan’s Exchange locations in UAE, sending a money transfer will take only few minutes.

Is there a charge to register at Western Union's website?

No, it’s free of charge.

What do I need to register and send money online through Western Union?

Anyone who meets the following requirements can register and start sending money online:

  • Be a resident of the United Arab Emirates
  • Have a valid Emirates ID
  • Be at least 18 years of age on the date of application
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Have a valid email address
  • Have a valid phone number
  • Have a bank account in the United Arab Emirates
How many times can I register?

Registration with a valid Emirates ID and an email address is possible only once.

How can I change or update my Western Union® profile?

You can change or update your Western Union® profile nformation from the ‘Profile overview’ tab after you log in to the wu.com site.

After your identity is verified, you cannot change your name, last name, date of birth, country of birth, nationality, ID number, or mobile number. If you need to change this information after your identity is verified, please call the Western Union Customer Care on the toll-free number 800 SENDWU (800 736398). You can also send an email to wu.support@alfardanexchange.com.
