Do I need to register to send money online?

Yes. After you’ve successfully registered online, choose one of the methods below to get your identity verified:

  • Online by uploading front and back pictures of your valid Emirates ID and a selfie.
  • Assisted by requesting an agent’s visit at your preferred location.
  • In-person by visiting the nearest Al Fardan’s Exchange location

After your identity verification is completed, you can start sending money right away.

Is there a charge to register at Western Union’s website?

No, it’s free of charge.

What are the requirements to register on Western Union?

Make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of the United Arab Emirates
  • Have a valid Emirates ID
  • Be at least 21 years on the date of registration
  • Accept our Terms and Conditions
  • Have a valid email address
  • Have a valid mobile number

Have a bank account in the United Arab Emirates

How many times can I register?

Registration with a valid Emirates ID and an email address is possible only once.

How can I change or update my Western Union® profile?

You can change or update your Western Union® profile nformation from the ‘Profile overview’ tab after you log in to the site.

After your identity is verified, you cannot change your name, last name, date of birth, country of birth, nationality, ID number, or mobile number.
