What documents can I use to pick up money in Ecuador?
If you are an Ecuadorian resident you’ll need to present a government- issued ID, if you are a non-resident then a valid passport is required. Acceptable IDs are subject to the banking laws and regulations of Ecuador.
How much does it cost to receive money?
All fees are paid by the sender. Receiving money is free of charge.
What is a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)?
The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) is a unique number assigned to your transfer. You will need it to pick up the transfer, so make sure the sender shares it with you after they’ve sent the money. You can also use the MTCN to track a transfer.
