To send money to a bank account, you only need the bank name, as well as the account type and number. When sending money to a digital wallet, you only need the phone number associated with the wallet. For both types of transfers, the recipient’s full name is required.

The required information may vary depending on the digital wallet or bank. Confirm the specific requirements for each country with a local agent.

To make international transfers at a Western Union store or authorized agent, follow these steps:

1. Find the nearest agent using the locator on the website.
2. Show the attendant a valid photo ID in good condition.
3. Provide the bank or digital wallet information of your recipient.
4. Hand over the total amount of your transfer to the attendant, including applicable fees and charges.
5. Done! Share the MTCN (10-digit) transaction number with your recipient.

Local taxes may apply. In addition to the transfer fee, the exchange rate will be added to the total transaction amount.
