Start online, pay in store
  1. Open your profile. Register or login, then choose the ‘Send Money’ option.
  2. Fill out your money transfer details. Enter the destination, amount and other necessary details.
  3. Enter your receiver’s details. You can save your receiver’s details for convenient repeat transfers.
  4. Pay in store. Visit a Western Union agent location with a valid government-issued ID and pay for the transfer in cash.
  5. Track your transfer. Upon successful payment, you’ll receive an email notification with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), which you can use to track your transfer.
  6. Inform your receiver. Share the MTCN with your receiver and let them know that the cash is ready for pickup at one of our agent locations. Do not disclose your money transfer details to anyone except your intended receiver.
Send money online for a cash pickup

Your receiver can pick up your cash transfer in minutes2 at one of our 500,000+ locations1 around the world.

  1. Open your profile. Register or login, then choose the ‘Send Money’ option.
  2. Fill out your money transfer details. Enter the destination, amount and other necessary details, then choose ‘Cash’ as your delivery method.
  3. Enter your receiver’s details. You can save your receiver’s details for convenient repeat transfers.
  4. Pay for the transfer. Pay with your bank account in Ecuador. Make sure you have an online access to it. If this is your first transfer, you’d need to confirm your profile in person at one of the Transferunion’s locations.
  5. Track your transfer. Upon successful payment, you’ll receive an email notification with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), which you can use to track your transfer.
  6. Inform your receiver. Share the MTCN with your receiver and let them know that the cash is ready for pickup at one of our agent locations. Do not disclose your money transfer details to anyone except your intended receiver.
Send money online to a bank account

You can send money directly to your receiver’s bank account in 50+ countries. Check our direct to bank country information to see if this service is available at your intended destination.

  1. Know your receiver’s bank details. Typically, you’ll need your receiver’s bank name and code, as well as their bank account number. Learn more about what bank details are needed.
  2. Open your profile. Register or log in, then choose the ‘Send Money’ option.
  3. Fill out your money transfer details. Make sure to include your receiver’s complete information, then choose ‘Bank account’ as the method for receiving money.
  4. Pay for the transfer. Pay with your bank account in Ecuador. Make sure you have an online access to it. If this is your first transfer, you’d need to confirm your profile in person at one of the Transferunion’s locations.
  5. Track your transfer. Upon successful payment, you’ll receivean email notification with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), which you can use to track your transfer.

  2. Fill out the Send Money form. Then give it to the agent, along with the money you wish to send and your ID.
  3. Pay the transfer fee.
  4. Track your transfer. Upon successful payment, you’ll be given a receipt with your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), which you can use to track your transfer.
