How many times can I register?

Registration with a valid government-issued ID or email is possible only once.

What do I do if I forgot my User ID or log in password or repeatedly entered incorrect details?

If you entered your log in information incorrectly 3 times, your profile will be locked. Please try to log in again after 30 minutes. If you’re unsuccessful, contact Customer Care.

How do I register online in the Western Union® app?

 To register, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the Western Union mobile app in Chile.
  2. Select Register.
  3. Enter your name as it appears on your government-issued ID.
  4. Select Continue.
  5. Enter your email address and create a password.
  6. Select Register.

Why do I have to register with Western Union?

Registration is required for most of our services. After you register, you can send money in minutes as your information will be pre-filled.

Other benefits of registration include access to your transfer history and details, easy repeat transfers and automatic transfer updates.

What should I do if my identity document expires?

If the validity of your identity verification expires, you’ll need to verify your identity again using our app. After your identity is verified again, you can continue enjoying our money transfer services.

Who can register and send money online?

Anyone who meets the following conditions can use our online services:

  • Has a national ID.
  • Is at least 18 years old.
  • Has accepted the Western Union Terms and Conditions.
  • Has a valid email address.

How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, simply do the following:

  1. Log in through our app.
  2. Select your name or your initials at the top right to go to your profile.
  3. Edit your phone number, address or email address.
  4. Select Save information.

Note: After you’ve successfully changed your email address, use the same email address to log in to your Western Union profile going forward.

 

Can I change or update my registered email address or password?

Yes, you can change your registered email or password using the Western Union app.

Does it cost anything to register for online services in Chile?

No, registration is free.

What should I do if I forget my user ID or password or repeatedly enter incorrect details?

Your user ID is your registered email address. If you forget your email address you’ll need to contact Customer Care.

If you forget your password, select Forgot your password? on the login page. A password reset link will be sent to your email.

If you enter your login information incorrectly 3 times, your profile will be temporarily locked. You can try and log in again with the correct details after 30 minutes.

How do I change or reset my password?

To change your password, please do the following:

  1. Log into our app.
  2. Select your name or initials at the top right to go to your Profile.
  3. Go to Update your password and enter a new password.
  4. Select Save new password.

Alternatively, you can reset your profile password by selecting Forgot password? when logging in.

 

How do I log in?

To log into your Western Union profile, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Select Log in.
  2. Enter your registered email address and password.  
  3. Choose Continue or Log in to proceed.  

If you forget your password, you can reset it by choosing Forgot password 

 

Can I cancel or delete my Western Union online profile?

Yes, you can delete your Western Union profile. To cancel your profile, please contact  Customer Care at: chile.digital@westernunion.com or by phone at 56 2 3214 9898 with the following information: 

  1. Your name as it appears in your profile.
  2. Your registered email address and phone number.
  3. The reason for deleting your profile.

We may contact you for additional information to complete your request.

Very important note: Profile deletion is permanent, and you’ll lose access to your transfer history. 

 

How do I change my profile privacy and marketing settings?

  1. On the website or the app, log into your Western Union profile.
  2. Click the Menu icon and select Settings from the dropdown.
  3. In the Information sharing section, select the check box.
  4. Select Save changes.

 

 

How do I register with Western Union?

If you are a new user, you can register with Western Union via our website or mobile app.

Steps to register on our website or app:

  1. Select Join now.
  2. Enter the required details.
  3. Verify your email address.
  4. Log into your new profile.

 

How do I update my postal address and phone number?

Follow these steps to update your postal address and phone number:

On our website or the Western Union mobile app:

  1. Log in to your profile.
  2. Select your name from the menu at the top. 
  3. Enter your new postal address and phone number. 
  4. Select Save or Update to confirm the changes.

 

How do I log into my Western Union profile?

To log into your Western Union profile, please follow the steps below:

  1. Select Log in.
  2. Enter your registered email address and password.
  3. Choose Continue or Log in to proceed. 

If you forget your password, you can reset it by choosing Forgot password.

How do I update my email address in my profile?

Follow the steps below to update your email address:

  1. Log into your profile.
  2. Enter the new email address and select Save to confirm the changes.
  3. Verify your email address.
  4. Select continue.

After you’ve successfully updated your email address, use the new email address to log into your Western Union profile. 

Note: The option to update your email address is not yet available on the mobile app.

How do I register online on the Western Union® app?

 

To complete your profile registration please follow these steps:

  1. Download the Western Union Chile app or go to the website https://www.westernunion.com/cl/en/web/user/register and begin the online registration process.
  2. Select the Register button.
  3. Choose an option from the document type drop-down list.
  4. Provide your contact information country of birth, date of birth and address.
  5. Enter the same ID number you use when you access the Western Union page.
  6. Receive a verification email.
  7. Create a password according to Western Union Chile website password requirements.
  8. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  9. Log into your profile.

 

How can I cancel my Western Union® online profile?

You can cancel your online profile by contacting our Western Union Customer Care by email: chile.digital@westernunion.com. Or by phone at 56 2 3214 9898.

How can I update my email address or password?

You can change your password or email through the Western Union® Chile application or website.

What can I do if I forget my User ID or login password and repeatedly enter incorrect details?

Your user ID is your email address, the one that you used to create your profile.

If you forgot your password, you select the Forgot password option and a new temporary password will be sent to your email.

If you entered your login information incorrectly 3 times, your profile will be locked. Please try to log into your profile after 30 minutes.

How do I add my debit card, credit card1 or a bank account? 

To add a new payment method, please follow the steps below:  

  1. Log into your profile.
  2. Go to the Payment preferences section.
  3. Select Add new credit or debit card. To add a bank account, choose Bank accounts and log into your bank account online.
  4. Enter your card or bank account information and select Save. 

On our mobile app:  

  1. Log into your profile.
  2. Select Profile from the menu.
  3. Select Payment options.
  4. Add a new debit card, credit card, or a new bank account. 

1 Credit card issuer may charge an additional fee and other associated interest charges. Use a debit card to avoid these charges. 

 

How do I delete my profile?

We are sorry to see you go. Remember that deleting your profile will completely delete your transfer history. To delete your profile, contact our Customer Care via email:  chile.digital@westernunion.com or phone at  56 2 3214 9898 .
