    How do I send money to a bank account?

    You can send money to a bank account online, via our app or in person from the Netherlands. Follow these simple online steps:

    1. Register for a profile or log in. Click ‘Send money’ to get started.
    2. Choose your destination and type in your transfer amount.
    3. Select ‘Bank account’ as the receiver option. You can also send a direct bank transfer with iDEAL.
    4. Choose your payment method.
    5. Enter your receiver’s bank details. This could include the account number, bank address, bank name or IBAN.
    6. Hit ‘Send’ and note down your unique tracking number (MTCN). We’ll also send this on a confirmation email.
    How do I send money online for cash pickup?

    If you send money for cash collection, it can be ready in minutes3. Here’s how it works from the Netherlands:

    1. Register for a profile or log in.
    2. Choose your destination and enter your transfer amount.
    3. Select ‘Cash pickup’ as your receiving method.
    4. Choose your payment method.
    5. Enter your receiver’s details. We’ll need their full name and address and potentially some other details too.
    6. Hit ‘Send’ and note down your unique tracking number (MTCN). We’ll also send this in a confirmation email.
    How do I send money online to a mobile wallet2?

    Some countries offer money transfers directly to a mobile wallet2. Follow these steps to make your money transfer from the Netherlands:

    1. Register for a free profile, or log in. Click ‘Send money’.
    2. Next, enter ‘Mobile wallet2’ as your receiver method and enter the amount.
    3. Enter your receiver’s name and phone number.
    4. Finish your money transfer and note down your unique tracking number (MTCN).

    1. Start by finding your nearest agent location. There are options wherever you’re based in the Netherlands.
    2. Head to the desk and give us your receiver’s details.

    How do I send money with the Western Union® app?
    1. Download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Follow the steps to register for your free profile. If you’ve already done this, no problem. Just log in as normal.
    2. Enter your destination, transfer amount and preferred collection/receipt methods.
    3. Enter your and your receiver’s details.
    4. Track your progress using the unique tracking number (MTCN).

    Is there flexibility to change how my receiver gets their money?

    We’re making it easy to switch from cash pickup to sending money directly to your receiver’s bank account. Follow the steps below to update the delivery method. Currently, online updates are excluded for select countries.

    1. Call 0800 022 8781 and speak to a Dutch money transfer specialist.
    2. Fill in your receiver details. You’ll need to provide their address and bank account details.

    Confirm the money transfer. A receipt will appear showing if your delivery method has been updated.
