How do I send money to Nepal from a Western Union^® agent location?

If you prefer to do things in-person or want to pay by cash, you can use our locator tool to find your nearest Western Union^® agent location.

Once you get to your agent location, you’ll need to go to the counter and speak to our friendly staff. They’ll ask how much you want to send to Nepal and request the receiver’s details. They may also ask you for a form of ID such as your driving license or passport, and proof of funds – bring a recent bank statement or payslip in case.

You can then pay the amount with cash or a card, and you’ll be given a receipt with your tracking number (MTCN). Don’t forget to share this with the receiver in Nepal too.
