Congratulations to the WU Scholars Class of 2017. 174 students from 65 countries, representing 153 colleges and universities around the world, were chosen for this inaugural class. Dedicated to the well-being of children, Felice has chosen to pursue a degree in Psychology to help those impacted by trauma live healthy, happy lives. She even dreams of starting a school for children to receive psychological services and a great education. | Suon is studying Medical Sciences and plans to be a surgeon, possibly in cardiology or neurology, and help save lives. In addition to her academics, Suon also volunteers at a local pediatric hospital. | |
Vince is studying Civil Engineering at the University of Mindanao in Davao City. His goal is to improve infrastructure in his community by developing eco-friendly buildings. | Ismary is studying engineering at the Technology Institute of Santo Domingo and dreams of starting her own business to advance the use of renewable energy. | |
Originally from Port-Au-Prince, Talie is studying Nursing and plans to go on and become a Doctor. She wants to be an OBGYN because she loves babies and wants to help ensure all children get a healthy start to life. | Originally from Mexico, Lily is now studying business management at Carroll University in Wisconsin, with hopes of owning her own business. | |

Originally from Jamaica, Katreece lives in New York and attends Monroe College studying Accounting. She hopes to start a company and create jobs in the local community. | Amy is studying International Business at Dhurakij Pundit University in Laksi and dreams of being an entrepreneur and starting her own business that increases international trade to and from her community. | |
Roy is literally a rocket scientist! He is studying Aeronautical Engineering at Purdue University and dreams of creating a more efficient rocket propellant. | Roshaye is studying biology at Hollins University in Virginia and dreams of expanding prenatal health education to Jamaican mothers. | |

Dave is studying Agronomy and Soil Science at the Université Quisqueya. He hopes to help improve nutrition in Haiti and plans to start a company that works with farmers with the goal of the improving their living conditions. | |

Originally from Liberia, Henry is studying Electrical Engineering at Lofa County Community College in Voinjama City. He knows electricity is vital for a country to grow economically, so he has chosen to be an Engineer and to improve the infrastructure in Liberia. |
