Only use Western Union for sending money to friends and family. Never send money to someone you haven’t met in person and confirm emergency situations before sending money.

Don’t send money to an individual:
Money transfers can be paid to the receiver quickly. After the money is paid, Western Union generally can’t provide a refund — even if it ends up being a scam. If you suspect fraud on a money transfer you have already sent, call us at 1-800-599959 and if your money has not been picked up, it will be returned to you.
