If approved, visit and pick up your refund at any Western Union agent location.

Only complete and submit this refund request if the Money Order has not been cashed. You will be able to verify the status of the Money Order before submitting the refund request.

If you decide to submit this request, make sure to include the following proof of purchase – scanned image/photo of either of the following is acceptable:
a) Money Order Receipt with barcode.
b) Money Order check.

Please retain a copy of all documents you provided for your records. If you do not have any of the above, you may include any other proof of purchase that you may consider necessary. This may include the original store receipt, accompanied by a copy of the police report that references the money order number.

Western Union will contact the purchaser whether the refund request is approved or rejected. A non-refundable processing fee per Money Order submitted is required to process this request. The applicable fee will be deducted from each Money Order if the request is approved, and the Money Order has not been cashed. Fees may vary depending on the face value of the Money Order.   • 0 USD fee for money orders of 5 USD or less.
  • 5 USD fee for money orders above 5 USD and less than 100 USD.
  • 15 USD fee for money order of 100 USD or above.
Additional fees may apply depending on the money order status.
Terms and conditions

To induce Western Union to refund to me the face amount of the above money order, minus any applicable Service Charges previously assessed due to inactivity and applicable Processing Fees described above, for which I understand and agree, and in consideration of that refund, I authorize Western Union to stop payment on the money order. I authorize Western Union to contact me via email, text, phone, or postal mail using my information.

 

I understand Western Union cannot guarantee that the money order will not be presented and honored. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Western Union harmless from any liability related to the refund, the alleged loss of the money order, or its negotiation.

 

Western Union reserves the right to deny requests which are not permissible under applicable law or Western Union policies. If I fail to provide the required proof of purchase, a search will be conducted, and I will be notified within 2-4 weeks of the results. If the money order has not been cashed and Western Union can verify the details, I may receive a refund.

 

By signing, I confirm that I have not cashed, transferred, or received any benefit from the money order. If I am signing on behalf of a company, I confirm I have the authority to act for the company and that no person has cashed or benefited from the money order.
