Recently we announced our exciting new collaboration with Française Des Jeux (FDJ), the 4th largest national lottery in the world and a nationally recognized brand in France. We are coming together to offer innovative, quick and easy Western Union digital money transfer services across FDJ’s 31,000 local points of sale across France.

From the second quarter of 2018 we will be enabling FDJ’s 26 million customers to send money to more than 200 countries and territories, with the choice of transferring cash or sending to billions of bank accounts in more than 50 countries.

Together, we are bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds: customers will be able to initiate their money transfer via the Western Union mobile App, before proceeding to their preferred FDJ location to validate and pay to complete the transaction. Customers can also complete the transaction digitally on the Western Union mobile App if they so choose.

App-initiated money transfers are a high growth area for Western Union and our latest figures show that more than 65% of wu.com transactions are initiated on a mobile device. We are committed to simplify consumers’ experience and strive to enable them to send and receive money at anytime, anywhere and in any way they want with flexible solutions.

The agreement with FDJ extends our footprint in France and adds to our already standing important collaborations with La Banque Postale and Franprix.
