What documents can I use to pick up money in Samoa?

You’ll need to present any official government-issued ID, such as:

For Residents (primary ID):

Passport

Driver’s license

National identification card

Emergency passport

Military, police and correctional facility card*

Voter card

Student ID*

Pension card

Ministry authority card*

Samoa National Provident Card

For Residents (secondary ID):

Birth Certificate

Acceptable IDs are subject to the banking laws and regulations of Samoa.

* For these ID types, Samoa requires a 2nd ID in addition to the primary ID, since these instruments do not mention the DOB (date of birth).

For Non-Residents:

Passport by foreign government or a recognised international organisation

How much does it cost to receive money?

The receiver pays no agent fees to receive money. All agent fees are paid by the sender.

What is a money transfer control number (MTCN)?

It's a unique number assigned to your transfer.
You will need this number when you go to pick up your money and also to track your transfer.
