How much can I send online?

How long does it take to send money online?

Generally, the money will be available for pickup in minutes2, and your receiver can pick up cash at any Western Union agent location around the world, depending on the hours of operation.

How do I know if my online transfer has been approved?

Simply check your online receipt to see if your transfer has been approved or not:

  • If your transfer is complete, you'll get an email that has your Money Transfer Control Number3 (MTCN).
  • If your transfer is on hold, you might be contacted for more information.
  • If your transfer is rejected, you may need to call our customer help line at 001 800 852 5385.
