How to Provide Your Identification
For transfers above 1.000 EUR, we need to confirm your identity. Once confirmed, you will be able to send up to 5.000 EUR within a three-day period.
Here is how it works:
Step 1: Log in with your e-mail address and password, open your profile or start a money transfer and choose 'Start verification'. You will then receive a letter from us.
Step 2: Follow the directions in the letter and fill out the confirmation form.
Step 3: Copy or scan both sides of your photo ID. Make sure your picture, signature, birthdate, and expiry date are visible. Passport, EU/EEA identity card, EU driving licence and Lithuanian resident permit are acceptable.
Step 4: Sign and date the confirmation form. Your signature must match the one on your photo ID.
Step 5: Send all documents to Western Union.
Save your scans as PDFs or JPGs and send an email with the attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 6: Log in to your profile to check your identification status. Verification may take several days. When it is complete, we will email you. In meantime, you can send money by visiting a nearby agent location.
*Please send us a COPY of your identification, not the original. Keep the original in a safe place.
