Western Union money transfers are now available at Russian Standard Bank’s select branches in Moscow, with plans to expand to more branches across the country. Bank visitors in Moscow can now connect to their loved ones in minutes* in more than 200 countries and territories.
To send a money transfer, you can visit the nearest Russian Standard Bank’s branch connected to the Western Union system, with a valid passport or other valid government issued ID. You can transfer funds in Russian rubles or U.S. dollars. In addition, members of the My WU℠ loyalty program can exchange accumulated points for a discount of up to 50% on the transfer fee. After making the transfer, you will be given a receipt with the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). You must provide your receiver with the MTCN.
To receive a money transfer, you need to provide a valid ID. You can confirm the currency for payout with the bank representative at the counter.
Cooperation with Russian Standard Bank is in line with Western Union’s strategy aimed at further improving the availability and convenience of money transfers – both online and in locations. Our retail network already includes thousands of Agent locations across Russia, and we are happy to expand it further.
