Like all seasons, summer comes and goes. Before long, the warm nights fade into cool, crisp mornings, which is the first sign that fall is on its way. With plenty of beautiful summer days left to enjoy, however, now is the time to get outside and visit some of the world’s most impressive beaches. After all, there’s no better way to soak up the sun than a beach vacation, and with so many options, there’s no excuse not to hit the beach right now.
1. Grand Cayman
There’s a reason why so many people visit the Cayman islands every year. Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach is loaded with some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, as well as a host of both casual and upscale restaurants to choose from. Looking to take a dive? Go south and head to Eden Rock for an unforgettable experience.
2. Honopu Beach, Kauai, HI
Many visitors review to Kauai, HI’s Honopu Beach as “Cathedral Beach,” due in large part to its impressive cliffs that are rife with lush vegetation. It’s worth noting that getting to Honopu Beach isn’t exactly as easy as some might expect—one must either swim from nearby Kalalau Beach or take a boat. Once you get there, though, you’ll see why it’s one of the most popular beach locations for today’s top filmmakers!
3. Bora Bora
No list of the world’s top beaches could ever be complete without a mention of Bora Bora. The isle’s beaches are ripe with coconuts at every turn, flanked by jungle and surrounded by coral reefs. Matira Beach in particular is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for some of the cleanest, clearest water on the planet.
4. Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
This mile-long stretch of beach is characterized by a year-round scene that never seems to slow down. Inspirational to one of the most well-known bossa nova songs ever written, the beach’s gorgeous views of towering mountains to the west and active landscape (think constant soccer and volleyball matches) make Ipanema Beach one of the world’s top destinations for those who are looking to enjoy a fun-filled atmosphere while soaking up the sun.
The massive boulders characteristic of the beaches of Seychelles are straight out of a fantasy book, and the sands surrounding them are as fine as one could ever hope to encounter. Seychelles Indian Ocean locale makes it unique when compared with many other beaches throughout the world—a perfect getaway for those looking to experience something different from the norm.
6. Turks & Caicos
If you’re looking to visit the Caribbean, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better location to visit than Turks & Caicos.
