Sending money in person

Sending money in person for cash collection

1. Go to a Western Union agency.

Use our "find agencies online" tool to find a local participating agent.

2. Present the following information at the agency:

  • Complete name of the recipient, his or her address and identification number.
  • Country you wish to send money to.
  • The total amount of money that you wish to send.

3. Present your government-issued identification and your photocopy at the agency, along with your tax identification number (CUIL/CUIT/CDI), if you are an Argentine citizen.

4. Hand over the amount of money you want to send, plus the service fee.

5. Ask for your receipt and verify that all the information is correct. Don't forget to share the tracking number (MTCN) with the recipient, since it will be needed to collect the money.

 


 

Send money in person to a bank account

1. Go to a Western Union agency.

Use our "find agencies online" tool to find a local participating agent.

2. Present the following information at the agency:

  • Complete name of the recipient, his or her address and identification number.
  • Your bank account information (this information varies depending on the destination country; you may check this information in advance by calling 0-800-800-3030)
  • Country you wish to send money to;
  • The total amount of money that you wish to send.

3. Present your government-issued identification and your photocopy at the agency, along with your tax identification number (CUIL/CUIT/CDI), if you are an Argentine citizen.

4. Hand over the amount of money you want to send, plus the service fee.

5. Ask for your receipt and verify that all the information is correct. Your money will be deposited in the recipient's bank account within 1 to 3 business days, depending on the destination country.*

 

 

*Under certain conditions, your money may be delayed or some services may not be available. These conditions include the amount you send, the country to which you send the money, the regulations of that country, a modification in the identification requirements, and time zone differences.
