Sending money in person

With Agent locations around Japan, sending money anywhere is fast and easy. You can transfer money in person at Western Union® Agent locations throughout Japan, paying in cash to send funds that can be collected from more than 500,000 Western Union Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories2 around the world. You can send a transfer of up to 1 million yen from an Agent location. Friendly and knowledgeable Agent associates will help you send your money with ease and allow the recipient to collect the fund within minutes1.

  Complete the application form

Fill out the form provided and show your identification document as required3 to the Western Union® Agent.

  Pay for your money transfer

Give the Western Union® Agent the amount of money that you want to send, including any necessary service fees4.

  Receive your receipt

You will receive a customer's copy and a printout of the transaction details. One of the details in the customer's copy is the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). You can track the status of your money transfer online with your MTCN.

  Provide the receiver with the tracking number

Save your receipt and share the tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver for pick up.
