Though many people are still unemployed and seeking a job to help make ends meet, there may be a surprising job trend in 2011. According to CNN, U.S. workers are expected to quit their positions in search of more fulfilling work.
A recent survey by Manpower, a job-placement firm, found that 84 percent of employees will look for a job in 2011, a major increase from the 60 percent surveyed in 2009.
In recent months, fewer workers have been quitting because of the financial crisis. However, as America continues to pull itself out of the recession, job numbers are expected to improve, which means more people will be ready to move on from their current positions.
One expert at Manpower called the results of the survey "a wake-up call to management. ...This finding is more about employee dissatisfaction and discontent than projected turnover."
However, there are still large numbers of people in the U.S. who are struggling to pay off debt from credit card bills. According to MSNBC, those with large amounts of debt should stop using their credit cards if they want to pay off their balance in a timely manner.
