This attractive, natural mat is free of oil-based products and toxic materials. It especially complements and protects wood floors, but works great on any surface. We've added a non-skid backing so our Planet PETCO Sisal Cat Litter Mat stays in place. Large size fits most litter boxes and offers a good size area to trap that loose litter as your cat exits the litter box. Made from 80% sisal and 20% jute natural fibers and is woven with 100% sisal string. Natural fiber sisal is an agave that yields a stiff fiber used in making twine and rope. Sisal farming is considered less damaging than many types of farming and jute, a type of plant fiber, is a natural alternative source for making paper products without cutting down trees for pulp. Sisal and jute fibers are naturally biodegradable. No chemicals or toxins are added to this product and our packaging is 100% recyclable.
