When you need the money to be there in minutes.1, 2

  2. Complete the Send Money form.
  3. Give the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3 
  4. Save your receipt and share the tracking number (MTCN) with the receiver for pick up.

Next Day Service

Your money can be received as cash or as a Reloadable Prepaid Card the next day1 at a participating Western Union agent location.2

  1. Search for a participating Western Union agent location near you.
  2. Complete the Money Transfer form and select Next Day Service.
  3. Hand the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee).3 Pay with cash or a U.S. bank-issued debit card (at participating locations).4
  4. Save the receipt with your Tracking Number (MTCN).

To a mobile phone

If your receiver lives in a country where we offer this service, you can send money to their mobile phone—so they can get their money even more quickly and easily.1 Make sure your receiver has activated a mobile wallet2 with one of our partner mobile operators in their country.

  1. Check available destination countries and mobile providers.
  2. Search for a participating agent location near you.
  3. Fill out the Send Money form including your receiver’s mobile phone number.
  4. Give the agent your completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3
  5. Save your receipt with the tracking number (MTCN).

To a bank account

Getting money directly to your receiver is easier than ever when you transfer money to a bank account.1 Availability at all Western Union agents makes the process quick and convenient.2

  1. Search for an agent location near you.
  2. Complete the Send Money form, including your receiver’s bank and account information. Check what specific information is needed.
  3. Give the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3 
  4. Save your receipt with the tracking number (MTCN).
  5. Your money will be deposited into your receiver’s qualifying bank account within 3 bank business days in the destination country. In some cases it could be deposited the next day. The 3-day count begins the day after you send your transaction. Check out destination-specific timing.

  1. Visit an agent location near you and buy goCASH at the checkout.
  2. Call 1-877-35goCASH or log on to wugocash.com
  3. Scratch and reveal the Transfer Code found on the inside of your goCASH package.
  4. Write down the 10-digit tracking number (MTCN) provided by the customer service representative.
  5. Give the MTCN to your receiver so they can pick up their cash at an agent location near them.
  6. Your receiver's money will be available 15 minutes after the transfer.

To an inmate

You need to send money to an inmate. Western Union can assist you. Your money is usually available in the Receiver's trust account the same day.

You can also send money with Western Union on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.

  1. Search for a participating agent location near you.
  2. Complete the Payment form. Be sure to include the inmate’s number under the account number.
  3. Hand the clerk the completed form with applicable funds (including transaction fee). Pay with cash or a U.S. bank-issued debit card (at participating locations).1
  4. Save your Tracking Number (MTCN).
  5. Your money will be deposited into the inmate’s account in 1 to 3 bank business days.
