The Western Union Foundation is offering a package of support in response to the current humanitarian crisis in East Africa.

There are 2 possible ways for you to donate until October 15th 2011:
- Western Union opened a special account to enable consumers to make a donation to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies by sending a no-fee* money transfer using the Western Union® Quick Collect® or Quick PaySM service. This service is available through participating Western Union Agent locations around the world.
You will need to complete the Western Union Blue Payments/Quick Collect or Quick Pay form, using "Western Union Foundation” as the Company Name; “Africa CO” as the Code City and State; and “East Africa” as the Account number.
- Text “AFRICA” to 52000 to give $10**. You will receive a return message to reconfirm your donation, please reply Yes. Donations will go to the Mercy Corps and will be matched up to $25,000 by the Western Union Foundation.
You can give by SMS up to 3 times a month until October 15th 2011 by repeating the above steps. Your donation will be added to your mobile phone bill** or deducted from your prepaid balance. Standard message and data rates may apply. For terms and conditions on general mobile giving, click here
